Lexie and Mitchell’s wedding day was one for the books — the perfect mix of intentional, relaxed, and full of heart. Their celebration took place at a stunning Airbnb tucked away in Bragg Creek, Alberta, perched high on a hill that overlooked the most breathtaking Alberta valley and mountain views. (It took me 20 minutes just to drive up there — totally worth it!)

Lexie and Mitchell are old friends of mine from my Edmonton days. We worked together for a number of years, and I still remember when they first met and started dating. So when Lexie reached out and asked me to photograph their wedding, I was overjoyed. It felt so special to get to capture a love story I’d seen unfold from the very beginning.

The day itself couldn’t have gone more perfectly. Everything was beautifully timed out — we did their first look, portraits, wedding party, and family photos all before the 5 PM ceremony, which meant once they said “I do,” they could truly relax and celebrate.

That timeline was a dream — it gave everyone space to just be present. I got to float around, chat with guests, and quietly capture all the laughter, hugs, and joyful in-between moments that made the day feel so full of life.

Their ceremony took place right on top of that hill, overlooking the most incredible mountain and valley views in Bragg Creek. The air was calm, the light was soft, and everything felt so peaceful — like time had slowed down just for them. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they exchanged vows with the Alberta wilderness as their witness.

It was one of those moments where you can feel the love — between the couple, their people, and the place itself. Every laugh, every happy tear, every gust of mountain wind just added to the magic of it all.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered around the house to celebrate. The evening felt effortless — guests mingled in the back yard, music floated through the air, and the golden light stretched across the valley. It was relaxed, joyful, and full of genuine connection.

As the sun dipped behind the mountains, the sky turned this soft shade of gold and pink — the kind of view that makes you pause and take it all in. It was the perfect ending to a day that already felt so full of beauty.
